OMG am I really that gay? I don't "act" gay but I guess I have the "gay mentality". At least according to my friend Eric, I fit the stereotype perfectly.
Just to preface the convo screencap above, Eric was telling me about a business opportunity with another man, an older man. It involves millions of dollars, real estate, and the Hollywood hills. I asked him what the guy wanted from him thus leading to what you see here.
I want to be his friend.
I just ordered the Car Sandal by Terra Plana. They're made entirely of leather with a sporty tread for grip. This is a company I trust since I own a pair of sneakers that have lasted a very long time. I can't wait!
The gold contract I can pull off. Don't know about them tenticles though.
One of my best friends and I are planning to attend the book launch party come midnight at the local Barnes & Noble. We'll come proudly sporting our Hogwarts scarves (it's okay to wear it for special occasions) ready to push any kid out of the way to make sure we pick up our pre-orders on time. Then it'll take me only one, two days at most to finish the book.
This upcoming movie (July 12) is actually from book 5 which is my 2nd favorite from the series, book 6 being the 1st. This is when Harry learns of the secret organization called The Phoenix and his destiny to organize his own rebellion, to finally step up and take charge. It's action packed!
Needless to say, it was Harry Potter (the books not the actual wizard) that rekindled my love for reading. I seem to enjoy it a lot more now that I'm an adult. Anywho, watch the trailer and enjoy.
I met Daniel about 4 years ago when we both worked at BCBG Max Azria. I worked in Marketing and he worked in Store Concepts. I remember walking by his office and seeing this cute guy staring deep into his computer screen, as if he was doing everything in his power to avoid attention. Of course, I saw that as an invitation and introduced myself. Fast forward to this past Saturday night and I've realized he is one of my best friends.
It's odd how life really is journey of unexpected events. I would have never thought I'd ever meet someone like him much less becoming friends. I always knew he wanted to move back to his native Sweden, we've talked about many times. I guess I was hoping it would happen later than sooner, but later is never late enough. This Tuesday he hops on a plane and heads back to Stockholm.
Of course this won't affect our friendship. Everybody says that right? Like I said before, life can foist the unexpected on you so I can't foresee what our friendship will be like weeks, months, and years from now but I can at least wave goodbye knowing a few things. I know I have a friend in him. I know he's found a friend in me. I know I have wonderful memories of working at 3 different jobs together, planning our careers in tandem. I know that we're complete opposites but it works out for us because it's like Yin and Yang. I know we still have our dreams of a clothing line. I know we will still have our blog. I know it's okay to watch a friend grow and to not feel alienated or abandoned. Most important I know my life would have sucked if he weren't a part of it these past 4 years. He's an awesome friend, a best friend, and I wish him good journeys. I'll see you soon Daniel.
That's fucking rad. In other news, I'm so uncool. The first thing that popped into my mind were the Ninja... read more
